I got this book as I was born on Lower Deeside-Ardoe to be exact and thought it would be very interesting.Well, it was and it covered a lot more than I ever imagined. I remember my folks telling me about the lady who rowed over the River Dee near Blairs/Cults. My mother and father and me all used to go over the "Shakkin Briggie" to get the "messages" in Cults.

This is a book long overdue . It includes so many previously unanswered questions and therefore a treat to read.
