5.0 out of 5 stars This is an excellent single 5 May 2001

I had to write a review for this song because it is my favourite track of all time. I first heard it on Jools Holland last year, and it has always been my favourite. Whenever there is the opportunity to do any karaoke, I always look for this song. It is an excellent original track, and I have chosen to review it because of this. I reccommend that you buy it or go out and listen to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A superb piece of REM's work 3 May 2001
Format:Audio CD
Despite the fact that I am not exactly a great fan of REM, this song was surprisingly entertaining. It offers originality and posses one of those memorable tunes that could be playing constantly in your head. To which I have no objection. It's a pleasant tune, but at times can be depressing which is why I have deducted a star. Another recomendation of REM's work is their latest single, Imitation Of Life which is again another masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic song and quite possible the best B-side REM has! 2 April 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
We have all heard Losing My Religion on the radio or on the astonishing album "Out of Time." The song is an enigmatic melody fuled by a mandolin stum (joke intended) that sent shockwaves throught he music industry for good reasons. The video for the song won MTV's video of the year and the song topped charts through 1991.
If this isn't reason enough to buy it, you have the simply provocative "Fretless." This B-side, also used for the soundtrack for "Until the End of the World" (also recommended) is haunting, with a stunning vocal display from Micheal Stipe and backing by bassist Mike Mills and the ever-lovely Kate Pierson of the B-52's. "Fretless" is easily one of the most provocative tracks R.E.M. has ever produced.

THIS SONG IS THE ONE THAT WON R.E.M. ITS FIRST-EVER GRAMMY FOR BEST ALTERNATIVE ROCK PERFORMANCE IN 1991. THEY ALSO ANOTHER GRAMMY THAT YEAR FOR BEST ALTERNATIVE ROCK ALBUM FOR ''OUT OF TIME''. R.E.M. FANS WILL DEFINITELY LOVE THIS SONG ONCE THEY HEAR IT. I GOTTA REALLY BUY ''OUT OF TIME'', I'M TIRED OF NOT OWNING IT!
