I am not the biggest fan of celeb dvd's (usually preferring Joanna Hall and the possible exception if Davina)but I was interested in this one as Mikyla has been gradually losing weight before she decided to do the dvd and has had weight issues most of her life. This dvd has had a lot of thought put in it with a nutritional section and an instructional section on how to do the harder exercises properly.
I was a bit worried that it would be boring as it is only her and the trainer but he so excellent at motivating you and the also the instruction is great - he shows you throughout how to do higher impact and lower impact versions. The exercise part of the dvd is in 6 parts:
1- the warm -up - this builds up and really gets you sweating
2 - the cardio - this is excellent - with grapevines, kick-backs, squats, star jumps and lower impact versions all built into a really great routine and not repetitive.
3. Cardio - boxing - again will get you sweating and instruction is great.
4. Circuit - this will get you toned up in no time
5. Core - again excellent instruction
6. Warm Down - I think this is great,you start by slowly walking side to side so if you have done the cardio sections this gets your heart rate slowing down properly - something a lot of fitness dvd's dont do!!
I like the fact that you can do one section with warm up and cool down which will take about 20-25 mins or more sections for a longer and intense workout(each section is 15 mins). You will definately lose weight with this and I love the fact that there is a decent cardio section. This dvd has definately been thought out properly by Mikyla and I will definately use this a lot.
