I read copious quantities of horror and suspense books, especially Stephen King's, but this one is one of the very few that has actually given me nightmares (another one was The Shining). The description of the airport terminal where things are not as they should be really gets the imagination going. There is great interaction between the different characters, with some of whom you get to dislike vehemently. Once the characters have worked out the situation in which they find themselves, I defy anyone to put the book down for wondering how they can possibly get out of it! All in all, an extremely good book with very powerful characters and a great ending!

I purchased "Four Past Midnight" last year(a collection of four novellas, one of which is "The Langoliers"). Stephen King just grabs your attention with his intelligent plots and terrific imagery. I'm slightly partial to his work; I'm a colossal King fan, but I think that anyone with literary taste will agree that this is a fine piece of writing. LONG LIVE HORROR!! KUDOS TO THE KING-MAN!!!!!

This book is a very well-written book. Stephen King has done it again. It is written in a way, which is beatiful. Definately one of the greatest books I have ever read.

The best book i have ever read.
I liked how the book was writen. The characters were great. I liked the part where the langoleirs were chasing the plane.
