Product Description

In the wake of being horribly tortured... with a plague ravaging the land, and a rebellion in full swing, Timon Baker is struggling to hold his world together.
It isn't enough to simply be himself, or take time to heal like a normal person. No, people want things from him. Hard things that will shape his life forever, ripping at the very fabric of what, and who, he thought he was.
Life however, is never fair, which is a lesson that he knows very well. So when a friend of his brother's comes to him for help, Tim decides to aid her, even though is isn't the most pleasant thing ever imagined on a personal level. You have to help those you can. At least in theory.
Uncovering even more secrets about himself and the world he lives in, it becomes clear that there's no way for a boy from Two Bends to handle the world he finds himself in. Not alone. Meaning that he has to become something very different than what nature intended him to be. Too young for it or not, Timon Baker has to become a man.

More About the Author

In 2008 I was part of a high level governmental experiment designed to transfer the consciousness of a human being into a version of themselves from a different reality schema.

It worked. I won't go into the details, but I was left rather... Under prepared for the transfer. Being healthy and of sound mind I decided to find gainful employment. Long story short, I write books now.

I hope you enjoy them.

Don't let people put you off! This book is just as good as the last Timmon book! Adding depth to the overall plots in the Tor series!

2.0 out of 5 stars worst in the series 5 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Unfortunately very disappointed, power has lost the power in this series. It started with a almost perfect character with just the right amount faults. Now it would seem that power has tried to inject some darkness into a beautiful series and completely lost the plot leaving the reader lost. Please in the next book try to bring some focus into the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Continuation of Timon's Story 15 May 2013
By Dave Phipps - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I absolutely loved Timon's next book. He's a great character that helps give us an "insider" look at life in Noram. When you view the world through the eyes of Tor, you rarely get an actual idea of what is really happening. With Timon, you see things the way the smartest person on the planet sees it.

This story advances the Young Ancients arc, following shortly after the events in "Ancient Kings". There are things happening in the world and things happening to Timon. Plus, there's a plot item I certainly didn't see coming that will obviously affect Timon for many years to come (actually, two things happen to Tim that will have a dramatic effect).

I thought this was another well-written and inventive story that keeps the story moving. I hated the ending though -- because I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END! Oh well, I guess we have to wait for the next one.

If you have not read any of the other Young Ancient books, I would certainly recommend you do so before starting this one (try them, you'll like it). This is the second Timon book, but part of the Young Ancient series which starts with "The Builder".

If you have read and liked another P.S. Power book or series, you will definitely love the Young Ancient series and most certainly this installment. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing as always 18 May 2013

It's an amazing look at Timon going though some pretty gruesome events.
I really wish I could give you a better insight into the book but I'm not good enough at writing to do that & not give away the story.

So short & sweet then.
Great book, amazing, it truly made me think about going though the same events and finding myself lacking in strength to match Timon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Timon Book 2 - Lord of the Sky 15 May 2013
By PSmith - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
The 2nd Timon book had good character development of Timon and others. As usual, a great read from P.S. Power. Looking forward to the 3rd Timon book in the Young Ancients series. Timon's intelligence and his relationship to Tor, his brother, is described. I find myself thinking that Timon is older than he is. Yes, I know this is fiction, but you will be caught into the world that PS Power describes. The action in the book is also great.

I am sorry but I could not finish this book for all the foul words, Not appropriate for young teens. What I did read it was a well thought out book. I pass on this author.
