The Lord of Hawkfell Island is yet another brillant novel from Catherine Coulter. The whole trilogy was excellent. No one book was better than the other. Beautifully written and researched. The love scences are as always tastefully written and very romantic. She is definitely my favorite author. I have read her books over and over again. I don't think that there is one out there that I have not read. No other Romance/Historical writer compares to her in my eyes.

Good easy read although I wouldn't say it was one of her best.M/s Coulter has a genius for describing characters so that you can imagine them and empathise with them. She sets the scenes in the story using detail when necessary but can also use very few words and still get the required atmosphere across to the reader.

Viking winner! 3 Sep 1999

I love historical romances set in the Viking Age, and Catherine Coulter has done a brilliant job with the time period. It was very honest writing. And, phew, was Rorik a hunk or what! One of the sexiest heroes ever. If you liked this one, check out Johanna Lindsey's "Fires of Winter."
