Lovely historical romance novel with a fair bit of spice! It is a lighthearted book but I liked the style of the writing and found it easy to warm to the characters. I will definately be buying more of the series.

Just reviewed book 2 so thought I should review this, I downloaded it the other day when it was free and read earlier today.
I'm an erotica fan and the writing style of this rivals gena showalter j r ward, Coleen Gleason and others. Very impressed.
the storyline as lighthearted and typical brooding male, quirky female but worked nicely. The sexual tension was immense and the rude scenes very believable.
Very good and worthy of 4 stars. I'm very critical so won't give five, only because 5 stars is reserved for literary perfection and I don't think that exists!!!!

If you're looking for historically correct then look elsewhere. What you get is what is says on the box, the Lord has many delights and most of them have something to do with body parts.
This is rompy romance, basically the dapper hero with the ginormous pulsing...umm crown jewels, saves the beautiful virgin bride. Strangely enough said virgin has no problem whatsoever with voyeurism, getting era specific lap dances and/or exhibitionism. All that as a dutiful blushing virgin of course.
There is some odd finger sniffing tactics going on that I found bizarre to say the least. The main character was quite obsessed with his genitals, they ached, itched, throbbed, were aflame and spoke to him on many an occasion.
It is a quick non-demanding read.
