I got this on a 'free' so cant be too disappointed, but i found myself flicking through many pages. Some tips were good but many things were quite obvious. I was hoping for more of an 'insider info' kind of book, like beauty tricks and lists of great products.
However if you are a complete newbie to make up etc you may find its covers all the basics.

This book surprised me 25 Feb 2012
By Anna M. Clark - Published on Amazon.com

I'm almost 50 years old, and my "gorgeous" days are pretty much past. (Yes I know we can look gorgeous as we age. But trust me, I don't.) That said, this book wasn't just tabloid-type filler that I was expecting. There are a lot of things that I've learned over the years by trial and error (exercise, moisturizing, dressing right) all wrapped up in one book. I like the section about posing for the camera. Not that I need to do it now, but 25 years ago it would have been nice to know. My thought is that if you're unsure about how you present yourself, and you're pretty young, you might find some useful information in this book.

I downloaded several books from the "Feel Good Factory" and I've been pleasantly surprised by them. I suggest at least giving them a chance if the subject interests you.

Lots of Positive Energy and Great Advice 7 Mar 2012

"Beauty comes from the happiness within." ~ Liv Tyler

While this books seems to assume that its readers are single and looking for love there are a few tips for us older married women. There are plenty of tips on losing weight and tons of advice on how to get your hair looking great.

This book also discusses interesting things like why there is so much divorce and why you should never pull out a gray hair. There is also some good advice about lip gloss/lipstick colors. I didn't realize that plum lipstick would bring out my blue eyes. I don't have even one plum lipstick or gloss. So I put one lovely gloss in my shopping cart immediately after reading this book.

There are also tips on skin brushing and advice on luxuriating in a spa-like environment. As far as doing your makeup goes I always though you applied concealer before you put your makeup on but this book suggests you do the opposite. I haven't tried it yet and don't think it would work with the more bare mineral foundations which were not discussed in this book.

Ever heard of calorie cycling? I'd never heard of it. Ever put vodka in your bath? This book tells you why you should.

What I loved was beauty tips from the stars. You will learn how Julia Roberts, Liv Tyler and Jennifer Love Hewitt stay beautiful.

I'd say this book will appeal most to women ages 20-45. You will find at least ten tips to make yourself more beautiful.
