A primary school Under Milk Wood!

Book Description

A fantastic book of funny poems having an irreverant look at just about every aspect of school - the head, the secretary, the dinner-lady, teachers, pupils, events in the school calendar (nativity play, sports day), school inspectors, parents' evenings and that strange smell in the corner of the infant cloakroom!

About the Author

Tony Bradman was born in London in 1954. He published his own first children's book in 1984, and since then has written over 160 books for children of all ages, from picture-book texts and poetry to teenage fiction. He has also edited forty anthologies of short stories and poetry for children. His latest books are a collection of re-tellings of classic stories, THE ORCHARD BOOK OF SWORDS, SORCERORS AND SUPERHEROES; three titles in a series for top juniors called TALES OF TERROR - FINAL CUT, VOODOO CHILD and DEADLY GAME (all Egmont); and SKIN DEEP, an anthology of short stories about racism (Puffin). Another book - THE MAGNIFICENT MUMMIES - was a World Book Day Title in 2004. Tony is chair of the Children's Writers and Illustrators Group at The Society of Authors, and visits schools throughout the UK. He has three grown-up children, two grandchildren, and lives in Beckenham with his wife.
