The story of a little tadpole who longs to be able to jump "boing" and is told he will when he is bigger. We see him meet many other creatures and encounter the big bad fish his mother warned him about. And we watch him change to become a frog who can leap out boing! My class adored this book and it is now a firm favourite with those 3 to 5 year olds.

Big Bad Fish is not only a very amusing and nature learning story, it's bright, colourful and full of expressions that a child can relate to and understand the situation at once. This is my daughter's favourite, so far.

A great book, colourful pictures, and very exciting for young children. I think the person who commented that this book seems the same as another one by Sheridan Cain will find that in fact this book, Look out for the Big Bad Fish, illustrated by Tanya Linch and written by Sheridan Cain, is the original, from which the other followed - and I in fact prefer the original by far. This book and its warm illustration is full of creativity and a pleasure to read.

This book is identical to the other Sheridan Cain book 'The Teeny Weeny Tadpole' - why two books the same with different titles??
