For me there were not enough of the cold war jets (subject area interest for me) it only has a few minutes in total of the Vulcan / Victor / Valiant series of aircraft but has rather more footage of the earlier jets, particularly the Lightning. Also shows the aerobatics team before they became the Red Arrows, and limited R and D around ejector seats and what happens at one or two of the RAF facilities. Narrative is interesting on the views of the cold war threat. The DVD is a set of 9 films approximately 10 minutes in length, total running time close to 90 minutes. Slightly disappointing for me that it is earlier cold war as opposed to later, then again some may find that more interesting that the more publicised later cold war. Presented in 4:3 ratio (original) and very high picture quality. Some of the reel transitions were jumpy, audio clicky in a couple of the films.
