I think it has far too much detail, for example, for GCSE I didn't need to know all the properties of about twenty different materials. Also this book is supposed to cater for textiles exams by several of the exams boards which i don't think makes for a good revision book. You're much better off getting a book that is specific for the exam you are using, that way you know all the information is relevant and you don't end up with an overload and becoming confused.
I ended up revising for my Textiles exam from BBC Bite-size revision which I found much more helpful than this book and I Came out with an A grade so I'm happy with that.
Good luck to anyone doing their GCSEs :) I hope you do well.
Would definetly reccommend to anyone taking gcse textiles! ;)
