I have not used the view finder on the course but it looks useless. The distances are very vague especially for more than 100 yards-you have to estimate as the next distance marking is 150 yards. It looks a very rough guide and will only prolong club selection. You also have to make mathematical adjustments if you can't see all the flag. Best save your money for the more detailed versions.

Unfortunatly I appear to have wasted my money on this product. Maybe its just the courses I've played on but this viewfinder relies on flags with set markings to give you distances and I'm yet to find 1 suitable flag, without this its pretty useless - nevermind.

I bought this as a mini telescope and not for range finding. It is nice and small and works well.
Be aware that it is a range finder and that means there is are always lines and numbers in view when you look through it.
