This book is very annoying as it only has half the answers in the back, so you cant cheak half the questions. I also found that it tends not to explain the harder type of questions. ie. the ones you would need help with.
But it is well structered and has endless questions to practice on, so many that you only end up doing a small fraction of them.
I use it at school, but would think it was good for home use as well as at school.

This book is excellent for all levels at IGCSE (Edexcel). For the last two years I have had top sets, taking the higher level, and the starred exercises are great for stretching them. If you have a middle set, they can have a choice as to whether to do ordinary or starred exercise and this is ideal for mixed ability. For lower sets, they can just do the ordinary exercises.
Good review at end of each section.
We use this book for Year 10 and Book 2 for Year 11 Longman Mathematics for IGCSE: Bk. 2
