Once I started reading this book, I just could not put it down. "The Long Walk Home" makes for an excellent read. From its brilliant and unforgettable introduction, to the amazingly natural and credible characters, this is a love story that will have you in tears every other chapter .
Will North's emotional intensity transpires in every sentence, in every dialogue, in every description. Each word seems carefully chosen and in it's rightful place. The scenery is sublime and one that will transport you immediately to Fiona's cozy Welsh bed-and-breakfast. So make sure you check in, and sit comfortably by the fireplace sipping a nice glass of sherry, because you won't be able to put this book down for quite some time.
It's the best novel I have read in the last few years. I sure hope Will North will grace us soon with more of his beautiful work.

I'm about to buy this book to read it fully. However, I am honoured to know the author and have read a preview of 40 pages or so. I weeped and couldn't continue. Make sure you have a box of hankies ready. I know this will be a masterpiece. This book will go down in history.

A great author - written many books under his real name and others penned by this great hand. He used to say as a joke "I'm the other Will". However, it's not a joke he's an amazing author.

Update: Having now read this book within 24 hours - couldn't put it down. I have to say it is the most beautifully written piece I've read in ages. Mesmerizing.

I can imagine on Quiz Shows, University Challenge and the like in 10 years time the quiz master quoting the first paragraph of this book and the contestants knowing instantly the title. Few books have that distinction.

What is really great about this story, the characters are in their 50s. Will North puts aside this myth that only young things can have romance and fall in love. Actually there is no age limit on love.

A truly exquisite but powerful story - which flows wonderfully through the characters' lives, sadness, disappointments, tears, and love.
