From the Back Cover

London: A group of students at an all night party dare each other to play a ouija board. But what starts out as fun rapidly turns into a nightmare, when the glass spells out the message: ALL DIE.

Unnerved, the students retreat to their house, but as one by one they fall prey to a succession of disturbing murders, the remaining friends know they must somehow banish the evil they have awakened, before it claims its next victim. With time running out, and the head count growing, they realise they can't trust anybody, not even each other.

I would like to defend this film against the shallow special effects fans [...] who have put this film down. some of the acting is wooden yes,and no there arent great special effects, but why does that matter? This is miles better than anything else I have seen in ages, and far creepier than the fairly good but overrated jeepers creepers. The idea of a fire demon hunting down these 20-somethings was creepy enough, but when you find out who the djinn actually is the film is unnerving. The twist at the end I guessed, but it was still great.I had never been scared by a horror movie, then I found this gem.If you look beyond the low budget aspects of this film like soom people failed to,you will find a truely thrilling, gripping horror film that you will love even more every time you watch it.

Wow! This movie REALLY hit a nerve - the nerve that caused my hand to grab for several cushions to hide behind!

Before watching this movie, I had not really heard a great deal about it. It is, after all, a virtually unheard of director and an all british cast! However, after watching it I cand for the life of me fathom WHY I hadn't heard more about it!

The basic idea of the movie is a bunch of rowdy students, who, whilst drunk and / or high decide to play the ouija board as a joke... with disasterous consequences. The movie follows the ill-fated group, lead by Joe Absolam (of eastenders fame <but much better suited to his role in long time dead>), as each one of them tries to avoid being picked off.

The theme of the movie is very well researched and highly accurate which is always pleasing - it means the writers & directo actually care about what they put out!

The movie is full of twists, turns and jump moments! Its fairly unpredictable too, which is a frefreshing change! I spent 2/3rds of my time watching from behind a scatter cushion with my heart trying to jump out of my chest... and then had to sleep with the lights on for the next two nights!!!

Excellent movie that is well worth watching!

Great film 28 Feb 2005
Format:DVD
I went to see this film with 3 friends. Having seen a number of horror films, i can honestly say this was probably one of the most frightning. The horror is one more of the un-predictability of "what happens next". I can remember the under the bed scene and then the body drops to the floor, most of the audience sreamed at that point. A great film.

Long Time Dead
I am an avid fan of horrors and really creepy, spine tingling films like "The Woman in Black". In my opinion there doesn't need to be buckets of blood and gore to make a good film. Read more

predictable, and corny
I thought this film was one of the worst, and most boring horror films I have ever seen. The story line, and plot were just an excuse to make what appears to be a very low budget... Read more

Not great!
I bought this because I read the reviews on Amazon and they were good.

I have to admit, this film bored me and certainly wasn't scary.

But don't listen to me. Read more

long time dead
This film is a very modern spin on the classic teen horrors.
With many twists and turns it will entertain the most loyal horror fans.

Good, scary but nothing special
This is certainly not that scary. It is worth a watch, but don't expect too much!
It is rarely jumpy. I would recommend Drag Me to Hell [DVD] [2009]

really not that scary
I was quite looking forward to this - a british film that was actually scary!!!

However, what is scary is how bad this film is! Read more
