I must agree with all other 5 star reviews. In fact, it deserves even more.
This is one of the best books on any African topic i have had the honour to read, look at.
The writing is eloquent, full of insights, honest and fresh.
The photographs, and there are dozens and dozens, are top quality, full colour, shocking but revealing.
The layout is a 10 out of 10. The size of the book is like a magazine, so the photos are large. The way they are combined, with the first hand accounts or the descriptions not only of what it is but of who took the photo are excellent.
I repeat again, and you may check it from my other reviews about African books, this book by Tim Hetherington is truly a MASTERPIECE, a jewel and privilege to have.
As for the content of the book, it explains the breakdown of Liberia better than anythong else out there.
