Book Description

Something is killing innocent people around Rylie Gresham's town. The police think it's a wild animal, but she has other suspicions. There are new kids at school, and they have a lot in common with her: gold eyes, super strength, and a habit of turning furry. It seems Rylie's not the only werewolf around anymore.

It's up to Rylie and her werewolf-hunting boyfriend, Seth, to stop the killings. But saving lives doesn't come naturally to a monster, and territory battles could risk the life of her sickly aunt--not to mention her own. Rylie has no choice but to stand her ground, protect her home, and stop the murderers before anyone else gets hurt.

LONG NIGHT MOON is a dark fantasy novel for young adult readers who enjoy a splash of horror with their paranormal romance.

More About the Author

Hi everyone! My name is Sara, and I write urban fantasy novels as SM Reine. I collect swords, cat hair, and typewriters (which I do use for writing!). It's a good day when those three things have nothing to do with each other.

If you would like to know the instant I have a new book available, you should enlist in my Army of Evil! We have a WICKED cool secret handshake, but you'll have to sign up to learn it. ;) Check it out --

A few fun facts about me:
- The #1 song on the day I was born was "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley, which means my life is a Rickroll.
- I have three black cats and one black dog, but it's not an obsession, I swear.
- I am a full time writer these days, which means I will never wear a pair of heels to the office again. Viva la sweatpants!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mind-Blowing 16 Feb. 2013
This is book three in the wonderful Seasons of the Moon series By S. M. Reine and it certainly keeps the reader engrossed. It's fast paced from the first page right until the end and even then I was sitting there wanting more and practically shouting NO! to anyone who would listen. This book stirred up so many emotions in me, it was superb. That ending is a killer and it's now got a place in my heart for books that keep the reader guessing and then completely blow their mind. Reine has really upped the notch in this novel and the stakes just keep getting higher.

Long Night Moon begins when Seth stumbles upon a dead farmer, who has literally been torn apart by an animal. When Rylie turns back to her human self, she wants to know if it was her but Seth reassures her it wasn't as he followed her most of the night. Seth discovers there have been more killings recently and what's even more suspicious is the two new werewolves who have just moved to town. Rylie knows she will need to show the intruders that this is her territory and they need to back off but it seems these new werewolves know a lot more than Rylie and they just want to talk to her. Things aren't what they seem and things in Rylie's personal life aren't any better. Her aunt is seriously ill and her boyfriend's brother might be turning into a werewolf. Then there's the matter of the school dance, add in two new werewolves and a bunch of killings and things really aren't going to go smoothly. Rylie and co need to put a stop to these killings before someone else gets seriously hurt.

In this novel we get to see Rylie battle some more of her personal demons. She has to cope with her ill aunt and this puts so much pressure on her to do things right.

follow on book from Cain Chronicles as I said in my review of those: I just love any vampire and werewolf stories or films and in my opinion these are as good as Twilight Saga :-)

This series just keeps getting better and better. SM Reine certainly knows how to keep the tension going throughout the story. In this book, more characters are introduced and interact with our main characters. The suspense builds and is there until the last page. There are not many YA books that make me well up but this one did (I shan't say why!)

Absolutely brilliant. On to book 4 now!

4.0 out of 5 stars As good as the first two 20 Nov. 2012

Long Night Moon sees the story of Rylie (now living with her aunt following her father's untimely death) pick up straight from the end of book 2 but this time there are two more werewolves in town.

SM Reine has a wonderful way of writing engaging stories and this paranormal series has been great reading.

Aimed mainly at young adults there is no reason why older people can't enjoy these books as they are so well written (I am looking forward to reading book 4 soon)and anyone with the slightest interest in werewolves or good paranormal/horror stories will love this collection.

If you haven't sampled this series yet it is well worth the small cost and also the author has stated on her Facebook page that the four volumes of Seasons of the Moon will be available as a Kindle box set soon............ treat yourself !!
