February 3rd 1959 was a date that would come to be known as one of the darkest in the history of Rock 'N' Roll. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were tragically killed in a fatal air crash on route to Minnesota for the Winter Dance Party tour. These outstanding rock 'n' rollers were in the prime of their careers and quickly gathering popularity all over America. Although their time was to be short lived, their influence on early rock n roll remains almost unmatched.
