4.0 out of 5 stars useful wee book 23 Mar 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
this is a useful little book for planning a trip / guiding you around in Naples and surrounding area. I found it a little lazy in places and there are improvements that could be made; for example...I would have liked to have the info on getting to destinations from the airport other than central Naples. There is a bus that goes from the airport direct to Salerno that I discovered by Googling "airport transport Napoli" so it is a bit slack of them not to have picked up on that. Good for general info and planning where to go (if not how) tho

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorrento 12 Sep 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I ordered the book because we have booked a holiday to Sorrento and wanted some information about the area. This book is very comprehensive and covers the entire area giving you areas to visit and suggestions for eating and night time entertainment. Excellent quality for the money a good buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and up to date publication 26 May 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Going to Sorrento later this year and this publication gives plenty of detail of that Amalfi Coast rather than, say, just focusing on Naples.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hopeless Guide 22 Mar 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
All the facts are there, I guess, but the way that this guide is structured makes it hopelessly impractical. The maps do not follow logically, and are split up throughout the book; the descriptions of sites etc is not referenced to the maps at all, so it is always a 3 or 4 step process to go from description to the map. A frustrating waste of time

i will never buy another Lonely Planet guide. Indeed, it was so poor I am tempted to ask for my money back!

2.0 out of 5 stars OK but could have been so much better
The guide lacked detail and seemed a bit out of date - particularly in the better restaurant sections where there were new restaurants established that were not mentioned. Read more

I haven't looked at the paper version of this book but find the e-book version somewhat confusing to get around. I can't help feeling that there is not a huge amount of content. Read more
