5.0 out of 5 stars Bonnie Scotland 7 Mar 2011
By Jenny
Format:Paperback
Excellent value for money.Much better to have this
neat volume while walking around Edinburgh, instead
of the larger one. It 'met my needs' and was v. good
to leave behind for my student grand-daughter's next
four years in this great city.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little book for a weekend 14 Feb 2012
By E.Do
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Took this away for the weekend and came in very handy.
The map in the back in great, and each section has some good suggestions - doesnt include accomodation though.
Found the highlights sections at the back the most helpful, with good top 5's for certain categories - eg top 5 restaurants with views, cafes for brunch, monuments with views etc.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing....not a family guide to Edinburgh 25 Oct 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Really disappointing book. Brought for a 5 day trip with hubby and 11 yr old daughter and found the book was really more aimed I felt for people travelling with no children! Lots info on bars and resturants but not really huge amounts re activities or ideas for family activities.

Decided to buy the Edinburgh guide by Marco Polo which was great and ticked all the boxes for our needs including a great map too.

Bought this for a 4 day visit to Edinburgh and was really useful. Small enough to keep in pocket and whip out when needed. Gave info on all the main attractions and things to see and the little map was great.

I was disappointed to find out that this guide came without the map. The advertisement was unrealistic since this information was not available.
