5.0 out of 5 stars Lonely Planet paperback guides got even better 28 Feb 2012
Lonely Planet redesigned its layout for the paperback guides. Now they have a pull-out map, top sights for every neighbourhood, the sleeping guide now is one section that covers all the neighbourhoods. It is like the city guides with much more details. Generally it is easier to read and comprehend and overall a stepup from previous versions.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT but lack of pictures 4 Nov 2012
By juana
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
this book was great, it really helped me while I was in Budapest. The only thing missing is more pictures. I went to Budapest with a friend who also had a Budapest guide, her guide was full of pictures but lack in content while this one is full of content so we ended up learning and visiting loads of lovely places. You should definately buy it, it's worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly helpful 6 Sep 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
For my first visit to Budapest, this guide was essential. Having no knowledge of the lay out of the city, nor the many sites that I should visit and their locations, this guide allowed me to navigate around with considerable ease. The hints and tips on everything from ordering drinks and tipping, to Turkish Spa etiquette and locating hidden cultural gems, was excellent.

I would highly recomment.

Good content on most of the stuff you need, and some useful navigation shortcuts in the kndle edition. But on the kindle the language section is just a pdf (or something similar) of very low resolution and almost unreadable.

Sections on getting around and using public transport were useful. I thought some of the descriptions of places could have been a bit clearer.
