if you are like me, a true metal head, then you will truly get a kick out of this album. night city sounds like it was pulled right out of ronnie james dio,s brain. its like someone went back in time to the late eighties or early 90,s and stole it from his little black book of song ideas. all you fans that lean more to the rock side than the metal side will most likely love songs like the title track and war of the world. you people that still mostly listen to old whitesnake and mostly aor type bands.but for the more metal oriented fan, and i mean those of you like me that are addicted to bands like primal fear, running wild, helloween and so on, well those of you will bust a nut when you hear the song titled PROMISES. this is the most fist pumping head banging anthem to come out in a long time. i cant stop playing this song, you can not play this without singing along. a song like this puts me in a good mood if im depressed, it gets me ready for another day at work, and it makes me proud to crank it at public places for all to hear, no cheese factor, just pure amazing quality metal. in fact i challenge you to not like this song. the inner road is a great song with killer guitar riffing as well, this is a diverse album where some songs are so good that the rest , even though good themselve will most likely be skipped often to reach these above mentioned anthems. by the way, coverdale this is not, quit comparing jorn to coverdale. jorn has a voice all his own, the dio influence is the one i hear the most. but anyway, i would put this type style of music in the same list as axel rudi pell, early pink cream 69 or early pretty maids(lethal heros) with some strong dio influences. dont pass this up.
