A Samurai Manga Tour de Force 17 Oct 2014
By T.M. Finney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
At the start of this volume, the wolf and the cub are still separated by the all-out war with the Yagyu Clan that began in Volume 4 and the long battle that results is as glorious and bloody, if not more so, as anything we've seen in the previous volumes. I can't really reveal more without giving away too much so I'll just add that Koike is at the top of his game mixing in strong stories to go with his solid characters and Kojima is simply an artistic force and the work he did in this volume is amazing. This is not the volume for the uninitiated, but If you've read the other books, you should be well satisfied with this one.
Love the Story. 3 Sep 2014

I wish I could draw like Kazuo Koike. The artistry is awesome. I've always loved stories in the tumultous time of samurai, ronins and politic upheaval. Can't wait to see the end of this story. Ogami continues to keep me interested in what happens next. He's such a deep methodical type of man. I can't wait to see what exactly he is working towards other than bringing up Diagoro.
Great! 22 Aug 2014

Awesome. Can't complain. It was a new book and it's a great story. My only issue is that if you're used to the versions that 1st publishing put out, the text in this one is pretty small compared to that. But it still doesn't change my opinion on this
