A present for my wife whose first contact in UK, 40 years ago, was as an au pair in London where she used to walk a lot on her time off. Though her English is good my wife enjoys panoramic and aerial views of the streets and areas she knew.
I had thought to buy pictures for the house but I could not make up my mind. Then I chanced on this picture book and another: problem solved.
The book has an index of locations, commentaries, marvelous aerial photographs including style shots of water filtration beds. My wife's memories are, with this book, being taken over by images of, to her, new items like the millennium bridge. However, my wife is happy remembering the locations (houses and hotels) where she used to work.
