I bought this for my 6.5 yr old (in Year 2) who is doing a school project on the Fire of London. It has several pages showing different periods of London history - Romans, middle ages, Tudor, fire of London, 18th Century, Victorian, Blitz, modern. Each page has a detailed picture with lots of flaps to lift to see inside buildings, transport, underground, etc and captions with information about London during that period. My daughter really enjoys looking at it and has learned a lot in a fun and visual way. I'd recommend it to anyone - I found it interesting too! It might also be helpful for children who aren't keen readers as it's fun and interactive and it manages to include a lot of historical detail using pictures and short captions. I am now thinking of buying one or two other "See Inside" books.
