About the Author
Angelika Taschen studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg, gaining her doctorate in 1986. Working for TASCHEN since 1987, she has published numerous titles on architecture, photography, design, contemporary art, interiors, and travel. Jane Edwards trained in fashion, journalism and photography at London's St. Martins School of Art but changed her direction to interiors during the 1990s. She has been a contributing editor to Elle Decoration among other magazines.

As one would expect from Taschen, this is a beautiful book for a bargain price. High-quality color photographs grace every page. For each residence, a brief introduction provides some information about the people who live there, what they care about, and what informed the design/decorating decisions. A couple of pages of photographs with descriptive captions feature not only the rooms but the details as well. The styles range from minimalist modern to baroque, with everything in between and a wide variety of eclecticism.
These are the homes of the rich and famous. It is a wonderful source for designers looking for inspiration and ideas. Recommended for interior design libraries and anyone who loves to look at beautiful interiors.
