Good update on an old classic, considering the year!
Haven't played other versions (cities, simpsons etc) before, but am enjoying this immensely.
Playing pieces are updated - tube train, taxi, as is the money (Monopoly 'dollars' instead of good old sterling), and the houses/hotels become stands and stadia, but the premise is the same - make as much money as possible, preferably from other people! There's also the addition of another dice cube, which is supposed to speed the game up, but we haven't used it yet - good idea for those who just want a quick game.
Also a good way to start learning about money management from an early age, and the actual box has been redesigned to hold the bank's money, property cards etc very well, and there's also a handy bag to stop losing the dice, stands and stadia.

I purchased the Monopoly game for a Christmas present for our grandson Joe, who lives in London. His dad works for GLA & is involved in some aspects of the Olympics 2012. We thought it was a novel way of playing Monopoly .The present was well received and has already been used several times. Joe is seven and thoroughly enjoys the game, although he always seems to win! A great idea, very topical for 2012. A very good way to get all the family involved in a game suitable for varying ages.
