5.0 out of 5 stars Fab tiny little camera 15 Dec 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
ok first things first
this camera is about a third of the size of the Diana F+ camera
it doesn't have a removeable lens and is a little more basic then then Diana F+ camera, so this little camera easly fits in a pocket or handbag.

you have two frame sizes on this camera :
24x17 (half frame) this frame size gives you 72 shots on a 36 shot roll of film
24x24 (square frame)this frame size gives you 36 shots on a 36 shot roll of film.

the lens is 24mm with 4 focal options :
0.6 m, 1-2 m, 2-4 m and 4 m to infinity.

the lens barrel has two appertures cloudy and sunny
the shutter trip (release leaver ) and also a cable relese mount ( screw thread )

the winder is a little diffrent from the diana F+ as this will stop winding on after each shot so when you feel it tighten STOP or you break your winder or film possiably both.

you can change frame size durring a roll of film but read the instutions on how to do this as it requares you taking a blank shot with the lens cap on.
My advice though if you are gonna take your 35mm film to a local processing lab and they do not know about lomgraphy they may not be able to understand how the framing has worked
( my processing was all done by lomography ) however i have stuck to the one frame size per roll.
the Diana F+ flash fits perfectly on this so if you already have a diana F+ flash you dont need to buy one.
i got this version of the diana mini as it was the same colour as the diana F+ delux kit i got and the flash was a perfect match.

whats in the box?
ok your box is tiny and as with all lomography products the packaging is really cool.

you get your Diana mini
a Plastic neck strap ( on the camera )
the shoot forever book ( this is not a manual )
diana mini manual
and lens cap ( this is hidden in the packaging )

all in all a fab little sister of the diana F+
if you have the diana F+ 35mm back this will give you diffrent options I also have that and this was NOT a waste of money, this is definitly a brill addtion to you lomography kit.
its also a brill starting point into lomography if you have a cost issues as the half frame mode will give you value for money on prints.

a little about this seller one word FAB will defo buy from the seller again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant little camera. 2 Oct 2011
Bought this camera after already owning a nikon slr. I have been interested in film cameras and have seen the results of this camera. It is very light weight and perfect size for your pocket. Also taking the 35mm film that can be processed anywhere unlike the diana f+ that take 120 film which is much harder to develop. Great product and very quick delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars classy little snapper 29 Aug 2010
my favourite purchase for quite some time. it's packaged in a lovely presentation box with a manual, lens cap, strap, hardback book and the camera itself. it's compact but sturdy (mine's the white version), has adjustable focus, 2 choices of aperture (f/8 & f/11), a bulb mode and the coolest shutter release i've ever come across. another feature is that as well as taking the standard square exposure it has a feature that allows 2 portrait photographs to be squeezed onto each frame allowing 72 shots from a 36 exposure film. multiple exposures are also easy to achieve.
they ooze style i think.
