It's only a small keyboard: it's a pretty similar size to the keyboard you'd find on a 15" or 16" laptop - in size and in how deep the buttons are - they're fairly flat, but with really solid-feeling movement. Everything's comfortably positioned. With it being so small and compact, some keys you'd find on larger ones aren't there, but it's got a function key, so some buttons double up - F10-F12 can be used to adjust volume, Fn + Home is Print Screen, etc. Using Logitech's SetPoint software, you can customize what each function key does when pressed with Fn, and you can disable things like caps lock and the Windows key.

There are no lights on the keyboard or receiver to show caps lock, number lock or scroll lock but, if you install Logitech's SetPoint software, you get a notification on screen when they're switched on and off. The bit on the left-hand side is the battery cover. It comes with 3 covers, in white, blue and purple. A black or grey one would have been nice, but a bit of marker pen sorted that out. It comes with 2 AAA batteries and uses Logitech's Unifying Receiver, that also picks up the mouse.

I really like this keyboard - it's comfortable to use (once you're used to the layout), reliable, good quality. The only things that bug me about it are that it didn't come with a black/grey battery cover and it doesn't have any lights to show when caps/number/scroll's on. Still, I'd definitely recommend it.

I have nearly worn out the backspace and delete keys with the abomination of a keyboard, even though I'm usually a reasonably good typist (40wpm several years ago). Because of the closely packed keys, the rounded edges, and (too) close proximity between the keyboard and keypad it gives the hands nowhere to feel for registration, so your muscle memory of the position of the keys is worthless in a lot of cases. It's also plasticky and very flexible.

The batteries hide inside that little area on the left, and you get the standard chewing-gum white, plus hideous electric blue and nausea-inducing purple spare battery covers in case you feel like expressing your individuality a little. Who thinks these things up??? Save tooling costs and just do a black one so it at least matches the rest of the damn keyboard! Oh, and put the flippin' on/off switch somewhere you don't have to grovel under the keyboard to switch it on and off.

Sure it's the bottom of the Logitech cordless pile, but Jeebus it's awful.

This is a neat keyboard, compact but with good-sized keys and good wirelss reach suitable for use to control a media PC from the settee. However, the whole thing seems more like a children's toy - lightweight, a cheap-and-nasty feeling piece of plastic - much more as if it came from Toys R Us than Logitech, and not a patch for quality of build on the old Logitech di Novo cordless desktop for laptops which it was bought to replace. One of the keys had fallen off in the box, but was pressed back into place readily enough. The three alternative left hand battery case covers come in a range of three disagreeable colours - why not suppply just one cover in black instead? The low price really does reflect in the build quality, but Logitech offers nothing else of a similar size for this sort of use.

Bought this for use with my laptop which is hooked up to a monitor when on my desk. Excellent piece of kit which took less than a minute to set up with Logitech unifying software ( which I had loaded with my Logitech Mouse). Very easy to use, ergonomically, even though I have big fingers. I am a touch typist and can find my way around quite easily. Very unobtrusive and tucks away nicely when not in use. I don't have any problems about there being no Caps Lock light, the onscreen notification is more than adequate, especially if you programme a noise also (windows 8 already has a default).
Just a little rider to the above. Spilt a cup of tea on this keyboard and then it wouldn't work. Rinsed it under the tap and put in sun to dry. Working again.....Larrf!

Others are unnecessarily bigger. It is not light. Others are unnecessarily heavier. It is not basic. Others are unnecessarily complicated. Setpoint software, oddly not supplied by default, customises the FN keys. It has to be found elsewhere and installed. Remembering to switch the power off may help prolong battery life. Easy for safe keeping, eg. to prevent pesky pets with the odd fondness for jumping onto keyboards. Otherwise it is quiet, functional, and good value. Highly recommend it.

I was looking for a small, wireless keyboard for my desk and this does the trick. I like space on my desk, so having a small, light keyboard that is portable works for me. In this way it's great. But I've had it for under a year and it is already malfunctioning. The keyboard is randomly copy+pasting when I don't want it to, a couple of capital letters don't work when using the shift key, and my 'colon' key doesn't work at all. At the time I couldn't afford anything better than this, but I will be paying more for a decent keyboard and a better brand than logitech. Disappointed. Also thinking it may be that wireless is less than reliable, so I would keep that in mind when thinking of buying this one.
