Okay for desktop use ONLY! 15 Jun 2009

I gave it three stars because it works perfectly well for a normal-user.

However, if you EVER plan to play games with your mouse, get a Logitech MX518 Gaming mouse which is probably the most reasonably priced gaming mouse you'll find. (i got mine for a mere �17 on amazon)..... its leaves this thing far far behind in the dust in terms of performance. Also it comes with a cord so no need to keep swapping batteries every month, and it has an ultra fast response time (the v220 is incredibly slow in response, especially cos its cordless).

I would strongly dispute the veracity of the 1000 dpi resolution claims on this mouse. My MX518 allows far FAR finer control when i run it on a 1400 or 1800 dpi resolution (the meter goes up to 2000dpi).

all in all. I'd say, go for it if all you do is desktop stuff. But for RTS or FPS, or any type of twitch-gaming, get a REAL mouse.

Brilliant Logitech V220 Wireless Laptop Mouse 3 April 2009

I purchased the 1st "Logitech V220 Wireless Laptop Mouse" for my wife's laptop. Looks cool and is Very comfortable to hold & use. Takes ONLY 1 battery & lasts more than 2 months with heavy useage (more than 8 hours a day). We were both very impressed by it, so I decided to buy a 2nd one for myself.

Logitech V220 Wireless Mouse 19 Jun 2009

Recently bought a Logitech V220 wireless mouse for use with a netbook and laptop. Bought this because I haven't found the trackpad on either device as comfortable or easy as using an actual mouse!!

Both devices use Windows XP, and the mouse - together with its USB receiver - was recognised and installed immediately.

Do please be aware: It's noticeably smaller than an ordinary desktop mouse, so may become uncomfortable with extended use?

However, it works beautifully on both my portables and, personally, I find it much easier to use than a trackpad, as - amongst other things - there's no more frantic scrabbling to get the mouse pointer from one side of the screen to the other.

Overall, it seems to respond better and be a more accurate option, so I'm naturally very pleased with purchase :-)
