When you look at the description and the pictures you expect to get a power supply that you can just plug straight into the Squeezebox, which is why I chose this one, but this is not the case.
What I received was a variable voltage unit where the voltage is set by a tiny dial on the underside. You also get a bag of different tips, the one that came fitted did not fit the Squeezebox so I had to fiddle with the various tips to find one that did, thought I am still not sure it is a good fit. The other difficulty you have is fitting the new tip as it can be fitted two ways around, this controls whether the inner connection is positive or negative, and this stumped me for a little while until I noticed some tiny symbols on the tip which I needed both glasses and a magnifying glass to see. So I plugged it together and prayed I had it right.
I had a heart stopping moment as the Squeezebox refused to start and I was concerned that I had connected it wrong but it seems that I perhaps hadn't used enough force to put the tip on the cable as after refitting it again everything sprung to life.
So if you don't want the hastle or are not confident about changing the tip or checking the voltage I'd recommend choosing a different one.
