I bought this webcam because I wanted top quality in a small lightweight package. It is amongst the most expensive but the picture quality is excellent. It is easy to make video adjustments, including settings for daylight, incandescent, fluorescent lighting etc. Low light images are excellent and backlight compensation allows me to use the camera facing a window without any problem. The focus ring is fiddly but adjustment is infrequent so not a problem. There is a folding cover to protect the lens and camera and cable fit neatly into the supplied storage box. This avoids having tangled wires in your laptop bag. On the downside the camera mounting legs appear flimsy and it hooks rather than clips on the laptop screen, it hasn't fallen off but I always fear it might. Also it does not stand up on it's own so is not suitable for a desktop PC. Recording and sending video email is easy, the software quickly compresses a 2 min clip from 20MB to 1MB. In summary excellent video quality and easy to carry.

I am very pleased with this camera. The design is very fancy and it has a good grip that keeps the camera attached to your notebook even if you shake it!
The video and picture quality are very good, 1.3MPixels are more than enough for a webcam.
The face tracking soft seems to work fine so far.
I would rate this article with five stars, but there are 2 things I don't like. One is that it doesn't stand alone; you have to attach it to your notebook or to a thin vertical surface. And the second one is that you have to move a wheel to focus the objective.
Hope it helps.
Regards

After an online research on webcams I bougth this camera for me and my sister. Image quality is excellent. Cable short if you want to use it with a desktop that is under your table but good for a laptop. I did not test the built-in mic as a local firewall here prohibits audio conversations. I turned face tracking as it keeps zooming in and out and sometimes fails to find the face. The price is quite a lot but it looked like the best webcam for laptop available so I bougth it and I am satisfied. It is very small and easily portable. I do not know about a better camera for a laptop.
For a desktop I would go for the Creative NX Pro that I bougth for my mum. It is half the price, image quality the same. So why not save if you do not need the portability?

I paid the extra for the pan and tilt function which in reality does not exist. The lens is actually fixed in its mount with a manual focus ring. To achieve the pan and tilt it actually uses digital zoom and thus just displays the image form a small area of the ccd yielding a lower quality image. Also I was getting a bad audio buzz from the microphone when used with my Sony Laptop. This problem goes away when the laptop is unplugged from its mains adapter. As mentioned by others, an elastic band is also a must to hold the unit in place.
