Happy but sore 6 May 2006
The Good:

The sound quality is very good. It sounds great using skype. I love the fact that it has its own sound card. I have set it up so that skype rings on the pc's soundcard but the call runs over the headphones. No need to keep changing between headphones and speakers. Just pickup the call and press mute on the keyboard.

Not so good:

These really are not comfortable. For the duration of the call I don't really notice but any longer or as soon as you take them off I can feel my ears going back into shape. If it wasn't for this fact, they would get an unreserved recommendation but as they are I would at least try them and keep a look out for alternatives.

The Logitech Headset is very practical. I have been looking for a fairly cheap but good quality headset for voice over IP communication, and this seemed like a good option.

The build of the headset is good - it is adjustable to fit the size of your head and also has a volume and mute button on the wire. The wire length is long enough to sit easily while having it plugged into the back of your computer.

The comfort issue that has been brought up several times is because of how tight the headset is at first. Because of how it was packaged, the headset is tight and this definitely shows when you put it on for longer periods of time. If you stretch it out a bit every now and then so that it becomes more loose, then it becomes much more comfortable.

The audio quality is fine - nothing special but definitely does the job. The microphone as well is fine, around or better than telephone quality.

Overall, it's a solid headset that is practical and usable on both Windows and Macs without needing to install drivers. If you are looking for a medium priced decent headset, here it is.

These must be the most uncomfortable headphones I've ever worn. I certainly couldn't wear them for more than 10 mins they are that uncomfortable. Maybe as the loosen up a little they won't continue to grip my head like a vice! On the plus side the sonic qualities are quite good, the microphone seems to be OK, no complaints from callers and music quality is great-if only I could wear them for more than 10 minutes!
