I have been looking for a decent small mouse for my 17" laptop PC for ages! I have tried the micro mice with those retractable USB leads, which always get in the way. So it had to be wireless. Then there is the bluetooth issue, where yet another bluetooth device conflicts with others. So the 2.4GHz solution was the only "real" choice. I can now say that I am completely satisfied with the Logitech VX Nano.
The only gripe (even that is minor!) I can come up with is that the packaging is completely overboard! Far too much packaging to be considered to be environmentally friendly!
The software installed easily and picked up an update (always a good sign that the software is well designed). The mouse is not too light or too heavy. It is very accurate and easy to move and manipulate. The buttons are completely reprogrammable - a great feature! It also warns you if the 2 x AAA batteries are getting low. Here is a point for discussion. Why not use rechargeables? Well I have had several rechargeable mice and found them to be a complete pain. This is mainly due to the connections to the mouse not working after a number of months or the mains adaptor dying. Of course we nearly always leave the mains adaptor on too, how environmentally unfriendly is that? So using alkaline batteries gets my vote. You can always turn the mouse on and off via a neat little switch under the mouse - so no excuses for wasting the precious AAA batteries. Then of course there is the tiny USB transmitter, here is the real bonus for laptop users, as it is unlikely to be knocked off!
All in all a great product and probably the best mouse I have ever owned!
