The web cam is easy to install, small and compact and comes with it's own carrying pouch. Folds up neatly and fairly flat. You don't have to download the logitech version of skype or the toolbar (just uncheck the tick boxes).
It gives a good quality picture and prior to using you can check all the settings. The microphone sems to work well. Not played with all the features yet. Otherwise would recemmend the product (although a touch expensive)

This is a fixed focus 720p HD webcam. It works well for Skype and all other video messengers. Skype currently does not support HD video-talk and hence even if you buy this web cam, HD video transmission is not possible, video transmission will default to basic resolution. In future when skype HD is up and running, this web cam will still be unable to transmit HD resolution since skype HD needs web-cams with on-board video encoding. The video quality is good and the camera copes moderately well under reduced lighting. Its designed well and made of really solid plastic, hence will last for years. The video driver is good and works fine with windows 7. The on-board microphone is quite sensitive and there is noise reduction enabled, hence you don't need a separate microphone. Most importantly this web-cam is not resource hungry, It functions well with no strain on my AMD athlon 64 X2 processor. Hence if you don't have a high end computer go for this web-cam, as others like microsoft HD-5000 etc will really struggle and drop frame rate.

I wanted a webcam to use with Skype to keep in touch with my family, some in England and others in Australia and USA. I did the usual loads of investigation and when I saw this webcam on Amazon at 2/3 the price of anywhere else I ordered it. I have always liked Logitech products. They are nicely designed, well made and always work well. This webcam doesn't disappoint. It was easy to set-up. The HD picture is superb and the sound is true and crisp - all you could want in a webcam. The face tracking feature is a bonus in use and don't forget to try the Avatars and special effects - the young ones love them. All in all, this is a great piece of kit, so don't hesitate to buy it - you won't regret it. As ALWAYS, Amazon delivery was fast and completely reliable.

Logitech webcam
This camera is fantastic, we use it to speak to our granddaughter who is at Oxford Uni. The picture and voice are exceptionally clear. Highly reccomended.
