I noticed while I was playing with it that it had a focus (thank God, as I was about to send the purchaser off for a refund).
It's your bog standard 640 x 480 cam. The refresh rate is ok, definitely uninstall the software it uses, and only keep the driver installed, the software creates a deep refresh lag. I just gave it a quick go and it worked fine.
If you want sharp pictures you should get a HD cam tho.

a smart nice sized webcam for use with a laptop,notebook,etc. clips onto my notebook very easily and securely. great value for money and great picture, no microphone but works well with separate mike on my laptop. all in all a good buy with clear software too.Logitech C120 Webcam

I would bet that there are much better cameras out there for a fiver. This camera has a very low frame rate, regardless of internet connection speed, which is easily its main fault. It will give you a headache after a couple of minutes. In 2010, that just won't cut it-feels more like something you found in your dads basement from 1990 or even earlier, and your trying to get an even older 8-bit computer to run it! I take no points away for not having sound, as it does state that on the box. It does work with Vista and Windows 7, but its so simple that it would be very odd if it did not. Save your money and buy something for double the price with a different brand, Im betting you will see a big difference

No sound, pretty useless
This webcam has no sound and was therefore pretty useless for its intended use with my laptop. There is no mention in the product description of the lack of sound. Read more
