Logitech MK320 Wireless Desktop

I bought the first one of these at PC World as personally I'd not buy a keyboard without playing with it first. It's not the best keyboard I've ever used but it's pretty decent and really very good value (I suspect they are being phased out). I like the combo with the mouse as you only need one USB wotsit.

My wife liked it so much I bought another set for her from Amazon (a few pounds more than PC World at present). She could not get used to the dreadful flat chiclet keys on her new laptop even after some months, and prefers a separate mouse anyway and she's very happy with it. The other good thing for her is that this gets around the annoying tendency of increasing numbers of laptop makers to assign the function keys to their own specific features so you have to press FN and the function key to get to the "normal" use of the function key. None of that nonsense with these. There is a separate row of keys for things like home, email, track changing etc.

as always with logitech, another brilliant quality item.
usb dongle is about 1 inch long, wich is ok, but could have been a little smaller like their nano versions.
and the keyboard could have done with an on/off switch. but this doesn't seem to be a real battery issue.
i'd give it 8/10, losing 2 points for those listed above.
update, i found the on switch on the keyboard. so that's that issue sorted, I'm a numpty.
also, after using it all for several months now, I have no issues with the USB dongle at all.
I give this 15 out of 10.

I've just bought this keyboard and mouse to replace the cheap and cheerful ones that came with my computer and I have to say that I don't think I could have made a better choice at any price.
Everything just works perfectly and the set-up is just a matter of plugging the small dongle into a USB port and that's it, no software to install, just plug and play, it's absolutely perfect.
In use the keyboard has a lovely feel to it, no clattering of keys as in my previous one, and so responsive it's just a joy to use. The shortcut keys are so useful too, whether its opening your home page, accessing your emails, or controlling your media player.
The range of the wireless keyboard is beyond fault, Logitech quote a distance of 10 metres but mine seems to work over far greater distances then that, controlling my computer from the bedroom to the lounge with 2 walls in between!!!
The mouse is an ideal size and sits in the hand really comfortably, sensitivity is about right and I haven't found a surface that it doesn't work on yet, even glass!!!
The one downside is that there is no indication of when the Caps Lock is on, but that seems to be the norm with most wireless keyboards so it's just a small inconvenience that you have to put up with.
Overall I don't think I could have made a better choice, if you're in the market for a wireless keyboard and mouse I can highly recommend this one. There's no need to pay more when the Logitech MK320 does the job so perfectly.

REVIEW UPDATE
The above review was written before I had used this product for any length of time, and although everything I said about the keyboard still stands, I've found an issue with the mouse.
My above comments about the mouse are still valid, it is responsive and it does seem to work on any surface BUT I've found the scroll wheel to be very stiff and course in action. It also makes a scuffing noise in use which is becoming really annoying.
Scrolling is not pleasant with this mouse, it feels cheap and sounds cheap. If you can put up with that because of the low price then fine, but I'm returning mine and paying more for the MK520 combo instead. I guess you get what you pay for, and I hope that a higher price means a more satisfactory product.
