This is a nice TIGHT little keyboard.
To start off, ONLY the alternative media functionality icons are lit. The orange you see in the picture is just the color of the plastic underneath the buttons !
As somebody else mentioned, the buttons felt slightly shorter at first, but didn't take long to get used to. The keyboard is really compact and really helps shorten the distance your fingers have to travel.
The two function keys are adequate replacements for the additional buttons you would normally see on most multimedia keyboards. You will find that both function keys are well positioned to allow good coverage of the F buttons and you don't really need to stretch from the left control button all the way to F12 as you would need to, had this been a laptop keyboard.
Though the keys don't "click" as you press them, they still give a good response and feel stable.
One weird thing about this keyboard is that the entire bottom row (ctrl, fn, windows, alt, space ....) is raised above all other keys ! This took me a while to get used to as I keep the keyboard flat against my desk, instead of using the supports. You might, for example, feel a bit awkward pressing "B with your thumb and you might have to lift your hand a bit so you don't accidentally press space.
To sum it up, this is a good little keyboard with great value. If you aren't looking for a new toy and just want a good FLAT keyboard, at a low price and with some multimedia buttons, this one will fit the bill.
