Was looking for a simple all in one remote but didn't want to shell out on the more expensive Logitech remotes due to having a fairly simple set-up: Panasonic 42" Plasma; Thomson Sky+ Box and a Denon S-301 home cinema system. Instructions where simple - add batteries, connect to Laptop via USB and goto myharmony site and enter the product numbers etc. Less than 10 mins later the remote was working for all 3 appliances.

It feels solid and the buttons are responsive, more so than the old SKY+ remote. You can programme the buttons to do more, but I'm happy with the 'out of the box' commands downloaded from the harmony site for now.

So far so good in that I've managed to replace 3 handsets with one. If you are looking for a simple solution at a reasonable price then this may be worth looking at.

For under £30 I wasn't sure how good this would be but actually it's pretty impressive. I am working a new Sony TV, a 3 year old Sony DVD Recorder, a Sky box and a 10 year old Denon hifi and after less than 20 minutes set-up it mimics the original remotes for all the main functions.

The heart of it resembles a Sky remote which is handy for many potential users. For some of the more complex operations you will need to revert to the original remote (eg some of the extended set-up menus on modern tellies) but for everyday on/off, channel, source, volume, record/playback etc it does exactly what it says on the tin.

You can choose to add lots of extra functionality to the basic core functions downloaded by matching it physically to your existing remote, but then you have to remember which key does what which is a bit of a pain. The only other thing to watch out for is that you have to select which of your 2/3/4 boxes you want it to work with at any one time and if you forget you can find yourself changing channel on the DVD instead of the TV, or whatever.

However, 90% of the time this single remote is all I use now, and the others are in a drawer for the 10% of the time I want to do something a bit more fiddly.

Highly recommend it for a good value tool for decluttering your lounge!

Easy to program my Samsung TV, Humax FoxSat and Panasonic DVD sound system to work seamlessly with the advantage that it can instantly change the TV to HDMI source without having to scroll around all inputs. I had to teach it a few commands because it can't copy Samsung commands to Humax, etc. Overall I think it's worth the money and is far better than a OneForAll!

I bought this as a father's day present after my dad had been admiring my Harmony One. He only has a few devices so I thought this would do the job. However the functionality is completely limited on this remote compared to the One or any other Logitech removes above this spec. OK I hear you say - it's far cheaper, that's expected. True, but I would have thought the ability to program the 4 "device" buttons at the top to at least power on the related devices would have been included. I should have read more reviews before hand to really understand the difference. In the end I gave this to another family member who had lower expectations and got my dad the next model up (650) which includes an LCD screen and the ability to power on devices in an activity. He is very happy with that remote and was worth the extra £10. If you can afford to spend ~£100 the Harmony One is worth the extra money (rechargeable battery, touch screen buttons and looks nicer to name but a few of the benefits!)

I don't usually bother with reviews on Amazon but felt I had to say a few words about just how good this product is.

I have a LG TV, Panasonic Freesat HD plus box and a Panasonic Home Theatre system, all of which are now fully controlled by this one Loigtech remote. Setup os so easy, you just need to register on Logitech's website and download the software which takes no time at all and is very easy.

Then all you need to do is type in the model number's of your devices and connect the to your PC with the included cable and it syncs it all together for you.

Following this very easy set up, there is a little trial and error involved to make sure all the relevant buttons on all the old remotes are accounted for but the software is so easy and user friendly that it really doesn't take long. For example, during the first few days of use, I was finding the odd button that hadn't been programmed but i just connected the remote to the PC and in a few seconds it was all sorted.

The WATCH TV button is really good as you can program which devices you want to switch on with one button. For example, I now click the WATCH TV button and my TV, Freesat box and Surround Sound speakers all switch on together.

Just remember that you need to click the relevant button for the device you're using before using the remote buttons, For example, I press CABLE/SAT button in order to control the Freesat box, but if i wanted to adjust sound settings on my Surround Sound, i would need to press the AUX button before doing so.

I have had no problems whatsoever with this remote, it has allowed me to permenantly get rid of my other 3 remotes which were just getting in the way.
