Providing precision at any hand speed (up to 150 inches per second on most popular gaming-mousepad surfaces), the G9x extends the promise of the award-winning Logitech G9 Laser Mouse with its next-generation laser sensor. Featuring on-the-fly adjustable dpi from 200 to 5000 dpi, the G9x makes it easy to go from pixel-precise targeting to lightning-fast manoeuvres without pausing the action.

Get the gear to suit your gameplay. Play with the best.

Logitech G9x Laser Mouse
Interchangeable grips
The G9x comes with Wide Load and Precision grips that let you choose the fit and feel that's best for your playing style. The Wide Load grip's satin feel and fuller shape offer extra comfort. The Precision grip's DryGrip technology and compact shape give you exceptional fingertip control.

Next-generation gaming laser

5.0 out of 5 stars This should be the standard for PC gamers 16 Mar 2010
I never really bought an expensive mouse before, but lately i had been playing a lot of PC games and felt I needed something better. After much thought, I decided to buy this G9x laser mouse, and it's exactly what I wanted, and much more.

It's confortable, has 2 types of grips you can just clip on, one using a more dry surface if you like things that way. The buttons are all accessible even for bigger hands since the main buttons reach the "end" of the mouse (unlike some others). It has 2 side buttons you can use with your thumb, which is great for games since you can now use an extra finger that was pretty useless before, that's always handy. The scroll wheel is also very good, with 2 different ways to use it, a sort of fast spin mode you can use to quickly scroll down a document or web page, the other is a clicking type of scroll more useful for gaming (such as switching weapons in an FPS).

That's for the basic functions of this mouse, but it does far more than this. You can use it in it's most basic way simply by plugging it in a USB slot on your computer, it should install by itself very quickly via plug n' play. But the advanced functions are to be installed via the CD that comes with the mouse, and here you get lots of options. You can creat different profiles for your mouse, where you can edit:
    - button properties (aside from the left click, you can change all the button's uses)
    - the different mouse speeds available for that profile (you can switch between a different set of dpi by pressing the + and - buttons on the mouse)
    - your scrolling preferances.

Each profile can be switched any time manually, or if you want you can have certain programs activate a certain profile.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mouse perfection 1 Jan 2010
    By E. Lam
Smooth glide, perfect grip, everything you could want from a gaming mouse. The smooth scroll wheel option is amazing and incredibly useful for surfing web pages quickly combined with Firefox addon smoothwheel/smoothscroll.

I found a slight incompatibility issue with the Razer Exactmat Speed side, however works fine just a little too much friction, oddly. Control side works much better. I have used the Deathadder, MX518, and IME 3.0 and this is the mouse I prefer for gaming.

I do believe 5700 dpi makes a difference; I have set it to 5700dpi, 6/11 windows sensitivity, and 1 notch of logitech Setpoint sensitivity. Smooth, accurate, fits perfect, the material of the grips feels great quality, great response due to 1000Hz polling rate. A little expensive but worth it. My last 2 razer mice have broken randomly and I have also recieved a faulty Lycosa keyboard, I think I will be sticking with Logitech from now on.

I also love the mouse cord, its kind of 'braided' into a solid mesh that doesn't tangle with anything and doesn't give the mouse any friction or drag along the table when being used. Everything feels sturdy about it, and the adjustable weights are cool, though for gaming you might want to keep the mouse as light as possible, up to you really.

5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest mouse in the world 21 April 2010
    Verified Purchase
This is the best mouse I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot of mice. I am a gamer but I also use this for just general surfing and productivity tasks on the PC.

The customisation options are astonishing, but that's not really the point - just using it as a plug and play mouse out-of-the-box is a joy. The "wide" grip fits my hand really well and the mouse just glides and moves very easily. I find all the buttons are located perfectly, I have no problems with the ergonomics at all.

If you want the Rolls-Royce of mice, buy this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic mouse 14 Feb 2011
This is absolutely great for both work and gaming.
The scroller stopped working after a couple of months but logitech support are GREAT (probably the best in the industry)and they sent a replacement out right away.

    I highly recommend this mouse.

    4.0 out of 5 stars A very decent mouse 14 Nov 2010
    -- Update 02 August 2011 --
I have now had this mouse for about 9 months and it's still going strong. I was given another mouse (Cyborg R.A.T - 7 Mouse (PC)) so I no longer have to transport it everyday. This one is still my preferred mouse. I have used it quite a lot for Starcraft II and it's very good for that too.

    -- Original 14 Nov 2010 --
This is the best mouse I have used so far. I transport it between work and home daily so I can use it in both places. This mouse really is approaching perfection.

    - Smooth
    - Accurate
    - Custom fit (very comfy)
    - Custom weighting (actually think this was useful)
    - Side buttons
    - Macros (brilliant)
    - Profiles (brilliant)

    - The profile switch button is on the bottom of the mouse which is just plain inconvenient
    - The scroll mode change button is also on the bottom*

    * Although I've found no use at all for the 2 scroll modes - click mode all the way

I strongly advise that you grab this mouse if you do any computing at work. The added comfort and increased efficiency will definitely pay off. I'm currently looking at getting a second similar mouse so I can have one at work and one at home. Pair it with a Razer Sphex Gaming Skin.
