Another superb bit of kit from Logitech.,

A few weeks ago now my old mouse decided it would stop working, so I thought I’d better invest in a new one. After having a look around, I decided that if I’m paying £30 for a new optical mouse anyway, I thought I’d splash out that little bit more and opted for a wireless one. I decided on the Logitech mouse because I’ve bought hardware from Logitech before and have always been impressed. The Logitech MX700, as with everything in live has pros and cons. Here are a few of them: Pros: Wireless mice are a lot more convenient than mice with a ‘tail.’ Trust me. Cons: This mouse is for right-handers only. Unfortunately left-handers will need to look elsewhere. Not really a pro or a con as such; the task switcher button will never get used. It’s in an awkward position to use, but is not ever in the way when using other buttons. You’ll probably just forget it’s there. Also bear in mind that it will take a day or two to get used to, as it is a little bit heavier than most mice (due to the weight of the batteries). In conclusion, although admittedly expensive for a mouse, Logitech have done a superb job, and I would recommend it to anybody, except: If you are left-handed (have a look at the Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical).

Perfection,

I got it out the box, put it on charge. During the 6 hours it took for its initial charge, even though it looked very nice, I was dubious as to if my money had been spent wisely. However, after I had used it I knew it had.It finished charing, I unplugged my old mouse and plugged it in. It worked straight way, which was nice. First things first, this mouse is VERY comfy (for us right handers)and also all the buttons are exactly where they need to be. A lot of people have said the quick switch button is in a bad position, but if you just press down with the lower half of your finger it works beautifully. That brings us on to another point, the mouse looks extremely classy. From the ultra drak blue (almost black) sides, to the silvery top, the mouse is finished to perfection. Another nice thing about it, is that unlike all other mice I have seen, the buttons arn't cut out, so the top is one smooth sheet of silvery plastic, adn the right and left buttons have a very nice response. The wheel is very smooth and quiet, and works great. I wasn't really sure before I got my hands on the mouse what the cruis econtrol buttons were for, but they are quite useful. Instead of rollign the wheel many times to get from top to bottom, you just press the button down and it scrolls for you. The quick switch function is a nice quick way to move around your windows if you have a lot open, like alt tab, but quicker. The back and forwards buttons on the side are good too, they seem to give a faster response than pressing the back and forward buttons in the browser windows, which was a suprise. Next is performance. I had a wired optical mouse in the past which was nice, but compared to this it was nothing. The pointer responds to exactly what you do and according to the stats the mouse sends updates to your computer as to its position the same as wired mice. Finally, what I liked about the mouse is that unlike many other mice, the bottom is opaque, so you don't get that annoying glow on your desktop when trying to watch films (pitty I got glowing computer) So if you are looking perfection as far as mice go, this is it. The price tag might seem a bit extreme, but the mouse is built to last, as well as to impress.

Cool mouse, very smooth and NO lag whatsoever. If your a gamer then DO NOT use the version of mouseware included in the box. It is buggy as hell and the scrool wheel will not work with most games. Download version 9.75 or above from the Logitech site and this mouse will work fine with BF1942, C&C Gen etc.
