At the princely sum of £39, it feels like its price, especially the remote control, which doesnt always respond to pressing. Use of low grade plastic and a light weight add to this impression.
But bearing in mind that my parents bought a supposedly "good quality" box which broke in under a year and the pace of development in technology, I think the Logik LDR1 ought to offer sufficient value for money for most people before it breaks.
And if the remote fails before the box, or just gets lost or ends up further away from you than the TV, the thoughtful designers at Logik have provided channel changer buttons on its front- something many set-boxes have done away with (especially Sky ones).
All in all, whilst the LDR1 might feel cheap, it works. It's already paid its keep, and at the end of the day I know that if beer gets spilt on it, I can buy another one without feeling short-changed.
