First of all what can I say! I'm not one to writer reviews but this product is So good I feel compelled to share it others! Anyway, it arrived yesterday, the packaging is second to none, very well protected. The unit itself, pictures do not do it any justice. It's a perfect combination of both the old and new school music systems. Being a DJ, for a while I've been looking for a system that allows near reproduction of analogue (vinyl) sound but at the same time doesn't occupy half the wall and floor space! I listen to a lot of reggae music and have spent (wasted!?) money buying portable systems but none could quiet match the sound quality I was after. I recently settled for a Bose sound wave system, but despite the price tag and reviews, the sound reproduction is unsatisfactory for the type of music I listen to. When I saw the ad on a tube to work, I thought, "...at last, could it be? All my prayers have been answered!" A device that produces digital sound via a traditional analogue route! When I got home, read the internet reviews etc and without haste placed my order! Soundwise does it live up to expectations? Hell, yes!!!! With seperate bass and treble (rather than "hi/lo")controls on the remote the sound is rich, punchy and distortion free. Speakers are very well designed, compact and robust! Using the fully functional remote control, I was able to scroll through the music menus, albums, playlists etc on my iPhone which is a big plus! Surprisingly the unit comes supplied with proper banana plug speaker cables! No more cutting and stripping bare wires! Other plus points, you can add seperates (CD player, turntable, casette deck..for those who still have them!)to the system with the supplied phono cables! what more can one ask for!?!Read more ›

An overall excellent product! I was thinking about buying the Fatman version, but for a cheaper price and high specs, this really does blow your ears away!!! A great investment for anyone that loves pure audio and clarity whilst listening to their music. The design is great too! 5 starts to Logic3!! :-)

Verified Purchase
Over the years I've had all sorts of equipment, such as Krimson and Naim, Kef, Rega 3, Linn - I never thought I'd be this impressed by something so inexpensive. The build quality is superb and the sound is full, warm, bright, clean, detailed and expressive. And this from such compact speakers, which I have to admit are not ideally sited. WOW! If you're looking for a truly outstanding hifi look no further, you couldn't possibly be disappointed.

I found the speaker leads to be very good quality but a bit short for my requirements (and yes I know lead length *should* be kept to a minimum), but the point is that the terminals on the speakers and amp are very high quality gold-plated posts with proper banana-plug ability AND huge holes for the wires when using them as screw-type, so I had no trouble at all getting my 72-strand monsters in there (unlike my previous "hifi" speakers which are now in the loft)!

I can only think of one improvement for the next version: it would be nice to have a bypass for the tone controls. But for now, I'm over that already. This amp has got me listening to my music collection all over again, and you know what? I'm listening to the music, not the hifi. Must go now, time to flip the record :)

UPDATE:
Forgot to mention that for vinyl you need a phono amp to bump up the signal. Maplins for a cheap one, hifi shop decent quality ones start at about £120, no idea if it's worth the extra. Records sound good with the Maplin item - maybe a loss of clarity and older recording sound, well, old. Go figure.

I've had this for a couple of years now and am still impressed. I'm used to the sound, and reckon it would definitely benefit from some better aftermarket speakers.

this ipod amp in my view is the best on the market it looks great and sounds lovely with a real deep rich sound. although the remote is not as great as the rest of the system. and the volume wont make your ears bleed.
but overall a great system

I bought this product after hearing it in a shop . The quality of sound blew me away and it looks stunning.
From the speakers ,which have Kevlar parts in them , to the main amp ,covered in stainless steel , the whole thing oozes quality.
All conections are gold plated ,as are the main speaker cables.
Only time will tell how often I will need to replace the valves but these are easily bought . Whether they are easy to refit is another question. The manual that comes with the amp does not say how to do this.
The remote does what you would expect but is not of the same quality.
There are two auxillary conections plus another two conections for video.
This would enable you to conect this amp to a tv and watch your videos on the big screen.
If I had a wish list it would be to be able to add a cd player radio etc of the same design and quality to this amp. I have been on the website and was suprised to find no such product exists. Maybe this is something Logic3 could look into.
On the whole this item sounds great , looks stunning and with care should last you years.
