Had been searching for one of these for a while and was delighted to find this one in this size. It's perfect for frying up small batches of food (think 2-3 fried onions and a tin of baked beans or the perfect large melting grilled cheese sandwich) and once fully seasoned, is ridiculously easy to clean.
If you like cast iron skillets, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've also purchased the larger one (I think 20 or 22cm) for larger jobs like grilling whole chickens, major pancake stacks, etc.
Really top quality product and well worth the price in my opinion. This one comes pre-seasoned but I found it didn't hurt to give it another layer of seasoning (basically, coating it with oil and placing in a warm oven before first use).

yes it did i loved my non stick pans but ive always been annoyed about the length of time before they need replacing and id been hearing that the coating leached plastics into your cooking and were not so good for your health so i took the plunge and thought id try these. now i feel a fool for all the money wasted on replacing non stick cookware (no the cheap stuff i have to add) i fry eggs in this with a ml if that of oil ,doesnt stick at all wipe round job done. ive ordered 2 more of different sizes and am going to replace the majority of my cookware. ill never have to buy a non stick pan or any other pan again, ill save loads of cash ,i feel cheated now by my previous cookware. these are not too heavy and are not at the high prices of the french cast iron pans which always seem a bit high to me. buy one remember check the dimentions though.

This is a small cast iron frying pan enough for, say, 4 chicken nuggets. It is very handy if used for cooking small amounts of food.
It is definitely much more healthy and ecological compared to ditching scratched Teflon every now and then.
The info leaflet says that the frying pan should not be washed with soap every time it's used. Nevertheless, I still suggest washing it with soap every time after cooking to remove used oil, and towel-wiping it afterwards. I'm used to this way of cleaning cast iron and I don't think the suggestion in the leaflet is healthy.
