Ordered this last week to make Irish Soda , Wheaten & Potato Farls .
It's a heavy quality cast iron griddle. The Farls are soooooooo good made on this griddle. Taste way better than the bakery ones. Comes already treated with oil to give a " non Stick" type of surface.
All you do out of the box is , step 1.rinse under medium hot water with a soft brush or sponge thingy ,
( no washing up liquid please) dry it . Step 2 Rub some sunflower oil on the cooking surface , low to med heat and off you go. When finished , repeat Step 1 to clean , re-oil the whole griddle sparingly and store it until next time.
Cast Iron has always been best for even heat distribution accross the cooking surface.
Much healthier than toxic aluminium too.
