5.0 out of 5 stars Does it without hassle, 3 Dec 2008

Read the previous reviews which said they had no problems when running Linux Ubuntu. Ordered the product and received it within 48 hours. Straight out of the packet, plugged it in and away it went. Running well, certainly up to the speed of the cable with no wires!

5.0 out of 5 stars good buy, 3 Dec 2008
By A. Tyzack "7600boy" (newcastle, UK) - See all my reviews

Tried this on an old p3 with usb 1.1 and it works perfectly, in fact, tried this on a few computers, laptops (used as a connection to get windows updates to friends knackered computers)

It holds the connection very well, driver install is simplistic, does the job and good for the price!!!

can't fault it!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't load drivers first., 21 Feb 2007
By P. Webster "Soilman" (Kent) - See all my reviews

OS = XP2
Instructions say load CD Rom & drivers will load automatically, then plug in USB Wireless Adapter & Windows will recognise it & accept it accordingly. NO! Windows says new hardware found please insert CD Rom for drivers, which it then installs again, only this time trying to use the Windows Wireless Network wizard, which after a reboot shows two icons on your taskbar. Result = conflicts.

Recommendation - Uninstall. Go back to restore point prior to installation. Plug adapter in, windows asks for drivers, put CD in tray and load drivers. Windows reboots & then recognises adapter straight away using Windows Wireless Network system. No probs after that.

Adapter works well, but range is not great. 1 Room & your down to 11bps, so does drop off quite quickly.
