I purchased this fryer as i thought a 2ltr capacity would be large enough to cook chips for two people but it is not.The handle is the most awkward to use and i believe could be dangerous. certainly not suitable for poorly sighted people. All in All very disappointed in this item.I have given one star as chip do cook evenly the only saving grace.
I was looking for a small,attractive,modern compact deep fat fryer and this product for me is almost perfect.
It is very smart looking and well designed.
Ideally, I would have preferred an oblong basket in order to cook long objects, but there was nothing smart enough to put in my kitchen; having said that, the round basket has accommodated everything so far.
My old fryer( still in full working order ) was was extremely bulky,needed a lot more fat and was a lot more powerful, so I am in the process of getting used to the new one.
I do not think you will be disappointed in a purchase, especially at the price I paid.
