I want to keep this review short and sweet so here goes - this is one of the best aerials I've ever purchased...period. It captures all the digital signals I can receive including the HD ones, keeping in mind I live in the London area. Previous aerials have produced shaky images, jutters or nothing at all and having to move them around all the time. This one has been in one position since it's come (had to find it) but hasn't moved since. All in all, very satisfied customer!

Excellent product. Easy to set up. You need to be aware when adjusting the gain that more is not necessarily better. You need a little patience to find the optimum setting, once you have the antenna position optimised. I do not have an outdoor antenna. This is the best boosted antenna I've ever had and has proved especially good for receiving freeview channels.

We had a portable TV in our dining room, reception with the little round aerial was poor. I bought a digital freeview TV and used the same little round aerial, reception was very poor. So I searched and found this little beauty at a very nice price. Sure it plugs in so costs a little on electricity but now we have all the digital channels at high quality. Very pleased with this and recommended to anyone who suffers from poor digital reception

I bought this to be used in my Fathers room in his care home. I had originally experimented with one belonging to my daughter and that appeared to work well, which is why I ordered this one. When installed, it intially worked OK (not brilliant but satisfactory). I went back a couple of days later and it was useless. It may be that the signal strengths vary from day to day but even when I turned the active unit on and off it seemed to make no difference at all. So we no longer use it, as it would mean moving it around from day to day and repositioning it from channel to channel - in other words, Useless.

I can recommend the Active Digital TV Antenna with 50dB Gain which can get the majority of the Freeview stations. The unit is smaller than other types of aerial booster available, with a stylish matt black finish and circle loop main aerial. The unit has a large LED blue light on the front to show that it is switched on and a signal booster adjuster which I find you do not need to use. There are two long antennas which need to be fully extended to gain the full coverage available.

Sometimes moving the connecting wires can be enough to get some of the weaker signals. I have found that I can receive over 30 stations from Freeview including the main ones (BBC, ITV, CH4 and 5) and the main radio stations. The unit needs an additional AV wire and possibly a Female coupler to hook it up to a Digital TV adapter.

Overall I would recommend the Active Digital TV Antenna which provides a good range of stations for the price. If you need to get the new HD stations as well there are mobile boosters with specialised adaptation for this available.

This is by far the best ariel I have ever come accross.
I live in a poor reception area and constantly lose the picture but not with this one.

I had purchased this for my bedroom as I have upgraded to a HDTV that supported Freeview HD. Installation of this aerial was straightforward, took only a matter of moments to setup. Once it had been connected I used the search option on the TV to retune all the channels. The aerial had managed to find all the freeview channels that were available in my region. The signal for all channels was 100% when using the amplifier settings to about 20%. The freeview HD channels were crystal clear far greater quality than the SD channels and much better than expected from an Indoor aerial. The picture was also smooth and showed no signs of degrading or signal loss. The loop and the antenna is fully adjustable to different positions if required however I have found that the aerial performs well in any position for me allowing me to be able to place it anywhere I want.

The only issue I have with this product is that when the amplifier is on there is a bright blue light which lights up the room this can be disturbing if used in a bedroom as the only way to turn it off is by having the amplifier off which is ok if you live in an strong signal area. I have put the aerial in a corner of my room, which is obstructed so that the light does not disturb me.

Overall have been using this aerial for 5 months now and it is still performing flawlessly. For an indoor aerial that performs this well at this price is a bargain. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone stumbling upon this review.

Having had 3 portable digital aerials before this is the best one I've had so far for getting a clear signal. It's not perfect but I don't think a portable one is ever going to be great for digital TV without spending a lot of money. This is definitely a good option in this price range.
Only negative is the blue LED for the gain adjuster. As this is for a bedroom it's quite annoying to have an eery blue light lighting up the whole room. Have covered it up with several layers of tape which has done the trick.
