I purchased this book for a friend's birthday this week and flicked through it for content before I wrapped it up. I was rather disappointed. Firstly, it appears to be solely US-based, which is not particularly helpful for European customers and rather misleading, given its European-looking cover and the fact its Amazon page makes no mention of its US origins). Secondly, a lot of it is more basic common sense than professional advice (i.e. repair shoes by using a cobbler, use up old food in recipes). Rest assured, there are general helpful hints (i.e. how to get cheaper cruises) and the book comes into it's own when dealing with straight financial stuff; but, all in all, a bit slim on content and only for the US market.
